Visionary or Integrator: the co-founder dynamic that built flinder, and what you can learn from it

Choosing a co-founder is one of the most important business decisions you’ll make. Here’s what I’ve learned about what makes a good team.

They say that two heads are better than one. And there’s plenty of data to support that argument when it comes to founding a business.

For one, around 60% of billion-dollar startups have two or three co-founders. Even if your projected or goal revenue is just a fraction of that, there’s still plenty we can learn from companies that scale to unicorn status.

Solo founders also take 3.6 times longer to outgrow the startup phase compared to a founding team of two. So if you want to get to a place of stability fast (or you’ve got an aggressive exit strategy), it can pay to be in a team.

I only say ‘can’ because not just any co-founder(s) will do.

How do you choose the right partner for your firm?
