The upside to entering awards and losing (from someone who’s won, lost, and judged before)

There’s truth in the saying, “it’s not the winning, it’s the taking part”. Applying for an award - and doing it well - is a valuable process, no matter whose name gets called out on the night.

It’s just been awards season for the accounting and finance sector, and now is a good time to start planning a 2026 entry.

I don’t work for any awards (although I have judged Accounting Excellence, DAS, and others before) and I’m not being paid to say this, I’m just a firm believer in the value of entering awards - even if you don’t win.
