30+ accounting leaders and a closed-door conversation about growth. What was raised?

Growth should be a top priority for all firm leaders. And, no, it’s not enough to rely on passive growth channels like referrals alone.

What happens when you ask 30+ accounting and accounting tech leaders how they drive new business? In the closed circle of Finance Takes The Piste (FTTP) - a yearly meet-up that’s part strategic forum and part social ski trip - participants say it how it is. 

Our conversation on the challenges and opportunities of growing a modern accounting firm looked at where firms are strongest today (referrals and partnerships) and where we have work to do (namely, outbound sales). 

Traditionally, firms have shied away from ‘growth’ as a function. Two hours of debate conclude that this has to change - and how that change will happen. What’s below is a top-level summary of our discussion.
